Who plays on ‘Monday Night Football’ tonight? Time, TV channel, schedule for NFL Week 10 game

For the second consecutive week, the NFL’s lone undefeated team is playing in prime time. This time, instead of playing on Thursday night, the Eagles will be playing on “Monday Night Football.”

The Eagles have an 8-0 record at the midpoint of the season and will look to keep their record pristine for another week. The good news is that they have already beaten their opponent, a divisional rival, handily this season.

That would be the Commanders. Washington got off to a slow start in 2022 but has improved its performance in recent weeks. It had been on a three-game winning streak before losing the to Vikings in Week 9, and the Commanders very nearly beat Minnesota. They held a 10-point lead late before a couple of key turnovers allowed Minnesota to claw back into the contest.

The Commanders would like to get a win to quell some of the off-the-field drama currently surrounding their team. But are the Eagles beatable? Washington will have to try to find out on Monday.

Here’s everything to know about the Eagles vs. Commanders matchup ahead of ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” broadcast.

Who plays on ‘Monday Night Football’ tonight?

  • Matchup: Commanders at Eagles
  • Location: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia

The Eagles are set to host the Commanders in Week 10 as Philadelphia looks to keep its undefeated season going.

The Eagles (8-0) have been arguably the NFL’s best team in 2022 to date. They have a hyper-efficient offense led by MVP candidate Jalen Hurts as well as A.J. Brown, Dallas Goedert and Miles Sanders, and their defense has been strong, too. Nick Sirianni is proving that he is among the NFL’s best coaches and he should have Philadelphia ready for a fight with its division rival.

Speaking of the Commanders, Washington has posted a 4-5 record in nine games but has been quite competitive with Taylor Heinicke at quarterback as opposed to Carson Wentz. The Commanders are coming off a disappointing 20-17 loss to the Vikings, but before that, they had won three consecutive games.

Washington is dealing with some off-the-field distractions — the franchise and its owner, Daniel Snyder, are being sued by the D.C. attorney general — so that may put them in a tough spot during this one. The Commanders also lost to the Eagles 24-8 back in Week 3, a game during which Philadelphia outscored them 24-0 in the first half.

With a win, the Eagles may be able to further their lead in the NFC East race, or at least build upon their advantage over the Cowboys and Giants. Washington would remain in last place even with a win, but getting back to .500 past the midpoint of the season would give the Commanders a chance to compete for a playoff spot.
